[Flash 9 is required to listen to audio.]

A salty ballad by Mr. Jason Krause and I, the following is a beautiful selection of loose associations from my lyrical notepad rendered vocally by myself over Jason’s “summertime,” which I didn’t steal, because he gave it to me and said write a song! I wrote a couple but this was my favorite.

The image was created for a hall meeting flier I made for a hall meeting which only TWO of my male residents attended (out of like 20). I swear, I do so much for this hall…

Oh, and you can download this song if you want to! More incentive to actually listen to it, maybe? I hope so! You have to go here and click the down-arrow on the music player of any song that you want (there are like six I think). Also if there’s any song that you’re like, man, I wish I could download that song, and it’s one of my songs, I can put it up for you.

Put yr Faith in Whatever You Want to

Put your faith in whatever you want to
the world’s only as large as you choose to perceive it
what’s real is whatever you choose to believe in
I was not made in this shape
I developed it mostly through motion
and things that I ate
it’s not my best work
if I were to tell the truth
but I’m still making edits
I’ll send them to you for review
and I’ll take your notes
and apply them as needed
Our vision is different
but I appreciate the feedback

The chroma at dusk is elaborate lavender
stars fasten visibly distant pressure valves,
as your eye when it leaks,
or the look in your iris, at least

I never saw the bowl
of the goldfish as a prison
the five minute span of its mind
ensured new vision
and as long as it couldn’t
hold a dream of being free
it wasn’t tormented
aware of its own suffering
but you told me Goldfish can memorize a maze
they can recognize their master by voice and by face
I look at my fish
and I feel ashamed

I have plans to go to space in my lifetime
the expectation has long since been set
and I better not have to spend more than a million
just to find fulfillment on my dreams being met
like the dinosaurs who figured out that
it sucks to lumber around
and as we know their bones then hollowed out
they grew wings, and left the ground

Except the one’s that didn’t
the hidden bones that since have risen
the price that they paid
for the choices they made

(edit: whoops this was supposed to be a post on the songblog but whatever I’m not very good at stuff)
